A condolence register was opened on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lebanese embassy in Tokyo to commemorate the victims of the Beirut explosion that caused 171 deaths, injured more than 6,000 people and displaced many from their homes.

The register was open from ten to twelve in the afternoon and, later from two to four. Many attended, including: The Director General of the Middle East and Africa, the Chairman of the Japanese-Lebanese Friendship Committee, JICA, along with friends of Lebanon. 

75 ambassadors and representatives from different embassies attended and offered their condolences as well.
