Avex, Inc., a Japanese company engaged in the music, animation, event planning, production, and management, and licensing business mainly in Asia, announced their establishment of a new company, Avex Saudi Arabia Entertainment LLC, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Avex has conducted the futuristic fireworks entertainment event “STAR ISLAND” on Saudi Arabia’s National Day in September 2019, and have also taken part in the well-known national event “Jeddah Season”, bringing together popular Japanese anime content to implement the experience-based area, “Anime Village”, for 2 consecutive years in 2022 and 2023.

The purpose of establishing the new company is to expand business in the Middle East region by having Saudi Arabia as its hub, being further rooted in the region, and adapting to the characteristics of the local markets.

In addition, when Prime Minister Kishida recently visited Saudi Arabia, Avex accompanied him as a representative of Japanese entertainment companies. They have also signed an MOU with the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, pledging their future cooperation.

We highly anticipate for Avex to bring more of Japan’s high-quality entertainment to Saudi Arabia in the future.
