DUBAI: Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday it will be participating in Japan’s Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai after signing a participation agreement at the first International Planning Meeting (IPM) for Expo 2025 in Osaka.
Saudi Arabia will showcase its heritage, culture, arts and traditions and will continue its successful legacy through its award-winning pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020.
The pavilion holds three Guinness World Records for: The longest interactive water curtain (32 meters long), the largest interactive light floor, and the largest interactive digital screen mirror (1,240 square meters). It was also awarded the Platinum Certificate in LEED by the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
The Kingdom’s exhibition in Dubai accounted for about 24% of the total visits at Expo 2020.
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai aims to promote unity amongst people around the globe, bringing together different cultures and interests under the official theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives.’
Japan’s upcoming exhibition will take place from April 13 to Oct. 13, 2025 aiming to be a laboratory for future society and a place where the world’s knowledge will be brought together and shared to help resolve global issues.
Supporting the overall concept are the event’s three sub-themes:
