DUBAI: Dragon Ball is set to debut a new series, “Dragon Ball DAIMA,” this fall, according to an announcement by Fuji Television Network Inc. on March 11.
The new anime will mark the first installment of the series since “Dragon Ball Super” ended in 2018, making Dragon Ball DAIMA’s return highly anticipated after six years.
In an online event “Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2024” held on Monday, Masako Nozawa, the voice behind Goku in the anime, appeared, wearing a Dragon Ball-themed jacket.
The new series features new episodes written by the late Akira Toriyama. He crafted a storyline where Goku and his friends embark on an adventure to an unknown and mysterious world to unravel a conspiracy.
Toriyama, 68, passed away on March 1, leaving many fans shocked and struck with grief. However, the return of the most famous anime in the world might help alleviate the loss.
