
DUBAI: The Consul-General of Japan in Dubai, IMANISHI Jun, hosted a movie night on Friday where he showcased a Japanese movie, highlighting the beauty of Japanese films and bringing an authenic Japanese movie experience to the UAE.
“We hope that through these films we can share the importance of finding a way to live together, regardless of nationality, religion, or gender,” he added.
The movie was attended by a variety of diplomats and businesspeople, such as the Consul Generals of South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, and Italy.
Aside from Friday’s screening, the Japanese film night was also hosted in Ras Al-Khaimah this year as part of the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival program. Additionally, on Thursday, the Japanese consulate invited students from Zayed University and American University in Dubai to watch the 2020 movie ‘Awake’.
