A rework of Bandai’s 1996 handheld digital pet Tamagotchi is expected to come back to the United States in July, with a new product called Tamagotchi On Wonder Garden.

The new gadget follows the plastic, egg-shaped exterior of the original, but is upgraded with better graphics, a colored-digital screen, and the ability to be connected to a mobile application.

The concept of growing the pet into adulthood remains the same, but unlike the original, the new generation features thousands of character combinations, and is allowed to go outside, travel to different lands, connect with other pets, get married to other pets, and even have offspring.

This allows players to have an unlimited number of pets through continuously adding new members to the lineage.

The Tamagotchi On will be available in turquoise and lavender and can be pre-ordered online at Walmart or Amazon for $59.99.
