Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara to make a comeback next year

Texas art museum, Dallas Contemporary, will reopen on January 30, 2021 with an exhibit by Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara.

Previously, Yoshitomo Nara displayed his work: Action Street in Dubai at Sotheby’s Show & Tell exhibition in February 2020.

Nara uses his work to touch on environmental activism, and nuclear disarmament.  Additional themes present in Nara’s work also include rebellion, and loneliness represented by his style.

The exhibited work will include sculptures, drawings, paintings and photography.

Dallas Contemporary will display Nara’s recent works while others date back to 2006, displayed until August 22, 2021.

Nara isn’t the only artist to be exhibited at Dallas Contemporary, there will be three more upcoming exhibitions featuring work by photographer Paolo Roversi, Chinese artist Liu Xiaodong and artist Ariel René Jackson,

Paolo Roversi will showcase his exhibit Birds in collaboration with Japanese fashion designer, Rei Kawakubo.
