The 50th anniversary of the manga series is around the corner with AllRightsReserved — a Hong Kong-based creative studio — and Doraemon coming together to celebrate the occasion with a capsule named ‘Doraemon Manga Time’.
A touch-sensitive lamp, with a height of 38 centimeters, will depict Doraemon in a sitting position and reading a 50th-anniversary issue of the manga.
This limited-edition series features Doraemon, with its bright red nose, collar and tail, popping out from its light blue-white color scheme.
Sitting cross-legged with an open manga covering its eyes, the character’s favorite snack, Dorayaki, is seen resting over its collars.
A dim light from the inside of the manga illuminates the character from the outside.
The capsule will be available on September 4 and its range varies from $7 (¥740) to $451 (¥48,000).
