The second TV season of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ is coming this year and it will focus on ‘Entertainment District Arc’ of the story.
Haruo Sotozaki is returning to direct the second season, and Akira Matsushima is again designing the characters. The cast from the first television anime season is also returning, including Katsuyuki Konishi as Tengen Uzui “Sound Hashira.”
The second season follows the events of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train” from October 2020, which is a direct sequel for the first season of the Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime series.
The movie has surpassed Hayao Miyazaki’s 2002 Spirited Away as the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan as well the second highest-earning anime film of all time worldwide. The movie has sold over 27 million tickets with over 351 million US dollars as of this month.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ manga launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016. The manga ended in May 2020 and has managed to reach more than 150 million copies (including digital copies) sold as of this month.
In related news, Publisher Aniplex and developer CyberConnect2 have confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan, the upcoming game of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series is a battle action game & it will be released later this year in Japan on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
