DUBAI: The collaboration that no one thought they needed until now has just been launched by fresh handmade cosmetics company, Lush.

The company is releasing an exclusive product collection ahead of Nintendo + Illumination’s new animated action comedy The Super Mario Bros. Movie featuring a Princess Peach body spray, Mario and Luigi shower gels and a first-of-its-kind ‘surprise’ mystery Question Block bath bomb with power-up soaps hidden inside.

A representative of Lush Middle East told Arab News Japan the collaboration story behind the ‘Lush x Super Mario Bros. Movie’ collection: “This collaboration came about when Lush and Nintendo discovered they shared a common love for creative, colorful and immersive experiences. The two companies then started discussing the possibility of bringing their own worlds together to create a special collection that would excite fans of both brands.”

“Lush believes that this collaboration will serve as a means of inspiring individuals to take time to unwind and to enjoy themselves as the collection’s items are intended to bring a little surprise and excitement into people’s daily routines while also evoking feelings of nostalgia and playfulness.”

“Additionally, the collaboration is a part of Lush’s ongoing initiatives to lessen its environmental footprint and promote sustainability. The entire “Lush x Super Mario Bros. Movie” line is vegan, cruelty-free, and manufactured with natural ingredients, all of which are consistent with Lush’s dedication to morally and environmentally responsible business methods,” she added.

The representative explained that the products have distinct aromas based on Mario and Luigi’s aromas.

“The “Lush x Super Mario Bros. Movie” collection includes a special item that Lush has never produced before: the Question Block bath bomb. This bath bomb was created to resemble the iconic Question Blocks from the Super Mario Bros. Movie. It has a surprise component to it which are the power-up soaps that are concealed inside. These soaps are available in a variety of designs and scents, including sneaky mushrooms, golden stars, and other pleasant surprises. Once used, the bath bomb softly produces a wonderful fizz and smell as it dissolves in water, revealing the hidden soaps. This all helps to make the Question Block bath bomb a fun and unique product that adds an element of surprise to each and every single bath,” she added.
