DUBAI: Tokyo Cosmetic Surgery clinic has opened its doors in Dubai, the first branch of a popular Tokyo aesthetics clinic in the Middle East.

On April 25, the beauty clinic held its opening ceremony at Al Barsha Mall in the UAE, giving guests a tour and an overview of the different dermatological and dental treatments available.

The center has over 100 clinics in Japan and has been in the aesthetics industry for over 20 years. The owner, Dr. Toru Aso, is popular for his YouTube videos and is known on the social media platform as ‘Doctor A.’

Speaking to Arab News Japan, Tokyo Cosmetic Surgery’s Manager Yukino Hongo said Aso decided to open a branch in the UAE after visiting Dubai and seeing it as a good opportunity to spread Japanese medicine.

“He found it to be a good idea to spread Japanese goods, services and skill to the world, and in particular Dubai,” she said.

Staff at the newly opened clinic come from different nationalities, as well as a Japanese dentist that completes procedures “the Japanese way.”

“Our receptionists and managers are also Japanese and trained in Japan,” Hongo added.

The clinic’s manager said the branch was set to open earlier, but due to the vigilant inspections from the Dubai Health Authorities, the clinic was licensed and was able to open its doors in April.

Tokyo Cosmetic Surgery is planning to bring in Japanese machines and products for their procedures. The clinic also has plans to expand into other parts of the Middle East like Saudi Arabia in the future.

The clinic offers several dental and dermatological treatments such as: Japanese HIFU (skin tightening treatment), Botox and Hyaluronic Acid injections, laser hair removal, thread lift, laser facial treatment, general dental and teeth whitening.

The clinic is open from 10:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. daily.
