Japan to take special income tax measures to back quake-stricken Noto region

TOKYO: Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Friday that the government has decided to adopt special income tax measures to support financing and other activity to help the quake-stricken Noto peninsula region.

Suzuki told reporters after a cabinet meeting that under the scheme, tax payers will be able to move forward taxable income to be deducted from this year’s income to the previous year’s to ease tax burdens.
