Japanese personal computer maker Vaio Corp. said Thursday it is considering a business tie-up with major Chinese drone maker Shenzhen MicroMultiCopter Co. to develop business projects in Japan.
The companies hope to consider various services, including one to fly drones to take pictures in distant places, Vaio officials said.
The two sides will also consider developing products for the Japanese market, mainly based on the Chinese company's drones.
Vaio, a former PC division of Sony Corp., aims to combine its cutting-edge network and robot technologies with Shenzhen MicroMultiCopter's expertise acquired through drone development and production.
