DUBAI: Japanese automobile company Lexus hosted a car safety and maintenance workshop for Al-Futtaim’s female employees, in celebration of Emirati Women’s Day. 

The workshop was hosted by Huda Al Matroushi, the first female auto mechanic in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who gained recognition when His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, personally reached out to congratulate her on opening her garage.

Held at Al-Futtaim Lexus’ Dubai Investment Park showroom, the workshop covered a range of car maintenance tips, regardless of mechanical knowledge, such as checking the oil and coolant levels. 

“Through this workshop, it’s my pleasure to educate more female drivers in the UAE on how to keep their car in good condition and make sure it is safe to drive at all times, especially during the summer months which are especially hard on vehicles,” Al Matroushi said. 

Distributed by Al-Futtaim Automotive Group in the UAE, Lexus is a luxury automobile division of Toyota, offering the largest line of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV).
