Japanese footballer Hiroki Sakai, along with the rest of the team, wore his Olympique de Marseille (OM) kit with the Lebanese flag printed on it in a game against Nimes Olympique on Sunday.
OM’s official Twitter page tweeted the move was in honor of Cyril Canaan, an OM Beirut supporter and founder of the fan club who died at 30 in Lebanon in the tragic explosion that took place August 4.

The team also showed their support to the Lebanese people who were affected by the events in Beirut.
A moment of silence in honor of Lebanon and its people took place before the game kicked off. OM Beirut thanked the team for all the support.

The jerseys will be signed by the OM players and sent to the Beirut fan club as a token of their support.
