PlayStation Arabia showcases the first official unboxing of Sony Corp’s PlayStation 5 console in the Middle East at an unboxing video held on the helipad of the United Arab Emirate’s iconic sail-shaped building Burj Al-Arab.

The next-generation console, which launched in core markets on November 12 to intense interest online, but with first day real-world sales limited to pre-order pick-ups. While the PS5 is available in Australia, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, North America and South Korea, gamers elsewhere will have to wait until November 19.

The “PS5 Unboxing on Burj Al Arab Helipad” video features the PlayStation Arabia host Abdulkarem unboxing the console while seated on the Burj Al Arab helipad in Dubai. The unboxing provides viewers with an exclusive glimpse of what to expect when the next generation console launches in the Middle East.

Abdulkarem then displays the contents inside the box and explains the features present in the  new new dual sense wireless controller, as well as in the console itself. While presenting the console, Abdulkarem provides a step-by-step preview of how to attach the stand to the console in order to place it vertically.

The video includes appearances by a number of guests, inlcudning Bahraini gamer Hakam “Hakoom” Karim, who was recently awarded the official Guinness world record for “the most PlayStation platinum trophies won by an individual, Iraqi-American makeup artist, beauty blogger, and entrepreneur Huda Kattan and her and gamer daughter Nour, Producer and Presenter of the show “Tech Pills” Faisal Saif and Kuwaiti Video Gamer “Khalid Al Mutairi” known as Gamer Snack.

Interviews with several individuals that are widely known in the world of gaming and technology on social platforms offer insight into the technicalities of the PS5 while simultaneously presenting their varied opinions on the long-awaited console.
