DUBAI: The Japanese embassy in Lebanon awarded the Ambassador’s Award to the current president of the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) Fadi Aoun.

On Sept. 9, Japanese ambassador Takeshi Okubo presented the award to Aoun for contributing in deepening cultural ties between Japan and Lebanon through karate.

Takeshi praised Aoun’s achievements and expressed hope that he will continue training and educating the Lebanese youth through karate and helping build Lebanon’s future.

According to the embassy, Aoun has provided karate training as well as other activities across Lebanon for over twenty years.
