Japan has developed a robot to care and cater to pet cats by entertaining them for ¥3,980 ($34.98), available for purchase online.

The robot is easy to use and offers consistent entertainment while cat owners are away.

The robot operates using four AA batteries enabling hassle free setup of the product. Added characteristics like the different speeds also offers flexibility and assurance that the cat will be kept busy.

The Nekojara Sitter has a round body with several holes for the multi-coloured feathers to alternate between encouraging the cat to stay focused and attempt to grab them.

Neko No Tomosya’s products, especially the Nekojara Sitter, were featured in several Japanese media publications, including Brutus.

The company also has a range of other products including two ball games in various colours and another made of wood. The company also offers plush toys for cats in different designs including a cactus and baguette.
