DUBAI: The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) said Wednesday that its offices in the Gaza Strip were destroyed due to bombardment of missiles coming from Israel.
A JICA spokeswoman told Arab News Japan that several buildings adjacent to their office in Gaza were destroyed, which caused considerable damage to their office and many cracks in the structure.
JICA confirmed that all its staff and personnel were safe and were not harmed.
Earlier on Oct. 11, Palestinian Ambassador to Japan Waleed Siam told a press conference about the damage caused to JICA’s office, after eyewitnesses in Gaza informed him of the explosions.
At the Palestinian Embassy in Tokyo, Ambassador Siam also showed Japanese media photos of the damaged building.
