
TOKYO: Following the Egyptian presidential election that took place December 10-12, Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio sent a congratulatory letter to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on his re-election success.
In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida touched upon the importance of Egypt for the stability of the Middle East and Africa regions.
He also expressed his expectation for further development of cooperative ties with Egypt in a wide range of areas such as political, economic, education and culture, as well as their friendly relationship, based on the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
President Sisi has been Egypt’s leader since 2014.
