DUBAI: Japan’s Ambassador to Lebanon MAGOSHI Masayuki conferred a decoration “The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays” on Samar Khashan, the former Senior Assistant to the Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon.

The decoration was conferred in appreciation of her contribution to the Japanese diplomatic services and her efforts in strengthening of bilateral relations between Japan and Lebanon.

The ceremony was held at the Ambassador’s residence in the presence of members of her family, friends and colleagues.

Ambassador Magoshi expressed his deep appreciation to Khashan for her long-standing contribution to establishing a valuable network of people between Japan and Lebanon throughout her 37 years of dedicated work despite the difficult circumstances that Lebanon had gone through.

Khashan expressed her gratitude to the decoration stressing the importance of Japan in her life and affirming her continued support to Japan.
