DUBAI: Japanese protester Yusuke Furusawa, who has recently gained popularity on social media for his demonstrations against the “Gaza Genocide,” was harassed by foreigners in Tokyo on Friday.

The foreigners, who appeared to be Israeli, asked Furusawa about the phrase: “From the river to the sea.”

“Which river and which sea are you talking about? Can you name them?” they taunted. Furusawa said on Instagram that he was not able to respond to them properly due to the language barrier.

This, however, did not stop the foreigners from continuing to harass the lone protestor, claiming that he was being “paid by Palestine to do this.”

One of the foreigners claimed that “20 of his friends were burnt and killed.”

When Furusawa hit back saying that many of his Palestinian friends were also affected and killed by the war, they simply replied with “no, they didn’t.”

Furusawa also yelled back at them, calling them “fascists” and “genocide supporters.”

The Japanese protestor, who has braved the streets of Tokyo on his own since October, posted the video of the incident with the caption: “Against Racism.”

Many people took to the comments to console Furusawa and support him in his protest against the war.

“Disgusting behavior towards a man just asking to stop the killing! Please do not let this bring you down,” one comment said.

Another user commented: “You don’t need to know the name of any river or sea to know that murdering innocent people is wrong.”

Others said he was “on the right side of history” and that he should keep up his protests to continue bringing awareness to the ongoing war in Gaza.

On Instagram, Furusawa gained over 83 thousand followers, with floods of comments everyday supporting his actions and cheering him on in his support for Palestine.
