TOKYO: Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary HAYASHI Yoshimasa held a meeting with Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan on Thursday and stated that Japan is committed to continuing efforts alongside Jordan to realize peace and stability in the Middle East.

Welcoming Prince Hassan, Hayashi said Jordan played an important role in bringing stability to the region. He noted that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Jordan and Japan.

Prince Hassan conveyed a letter from King Abdullah II to Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru and reiterated that Japan remains a close and invaluable partner in addressing regional challenges, emphasizing their shared interests.

Hayashi and Prince Hassan agreed on continued cooperation between the two countries.
