Ayoub is an Arabian Visual Novel game about school life drama consisting of three parts, which is developed by Sarr Entertainment.

Dalal Saeed, the writer and developer of Ayoub told Arab News Japan about the story behind developing the game: “I started working on the game a while ago and faced difficulty due to the length of the game’s story, so I quit working on it for a long time. Then I went back and thought about dividing the novel after changing some of the events. Indeed, dividing the novel into parts helped launch the game.”

“Soon I will start translating the first episode into English and hopefully there will be other languages later on,” she added.

Saeed said: “The game is inspired by famous Japanese Visual Novel games like Clannad, Rewrite & Little Busters.”

The writer explained that the first episode of features the main characters and their relationships with each other as they are gradually emerging through amusing situations or drama situations.

“The second episode that I’m working will be rapid events and contain action situations. I started building the mystery from the first episode, but it will be more in the second episode so I will work harder to raise the level of the animation & designs,” Saeed told Arab News Japan.

“Honestly, the initial idea of the game was not a drama, it was about a mystery novel that talks about Arabic books, but then I realized when I saw some games that the most important thing in the graphic novel is to present a good story. Of course, I want to tell the story more than anything else,” she added.

Speaking about Japanese anime, Saeed said: “I love Japanese anime characters, so I worked with illustrators who follow & do Japanese anime style.”

“It took 9 months to work on the first episode of Ayoub & it will be 3 episodes game series, the first episode is available in steam store & I’m working now on the second episode of the series and hopefully it will get positive feedback from everyone,” she added.
