An earthquake hit Japan's Tohoko region, north east of Tokyo, May 18 with a magnitude of 5.2 Shindo in its epicenter, at 50 KM under water near Miyage prefecture.
The Japanese Shindo scale has a maximum of 7 degrees.
On land, the seismic intensity scale was at 4 Shindo in Miyagi and 3 in Iwate prefecture.
The metrological agency said no tsunami warning is issued.
Other prefectures felt the tremble of the earthquake at a lesser magnitude.
Fukushima, where the crippled nuclear station is located, was shaken at 2 Shindo.
There were no immediate reports of abnormality in the Fukushima reactors, which are being decommissioned in a process expected to last up to 40 years.
Tokyo, Saitama and Ibaraki prefectures had around 1 Shindo magnitude of this earthquake that hit at 12 noon May 18.
