Mizushima named Japan’s Ambassador to Israel

TOKYO: The Japanese government Friday appointed Koichi Mizushima, who served as director-general of the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Affairs Bureau, as ambassador to Israel, effective on Tuesday.

Mikio Mori, director-general of the ministry’s African Affairs Department, took over Mizushima’s position on Friday.
