Mild earthquake shakes Iwate prefecture

TOKYO: At around 18:11 on Friday, there was an earthquake with intensity of 4 on the Japanese Shindo scale in Iwate Prefecture.

Japan Meteorological Agency said the epicenter is in the northern part of the inland area of Iwate at the depth of 10 km.

The agency said there is no concern about a tsunami caused by this earthquake.
