Takeda to file for approval of Moderna vaccine in Japan

TOKYO: Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. plans to file for Japanese regulatory approval as early as this week for a coronavirus vaccine developed by US biotech startup Moderna Inc., informed sources said Tuesday.

The Moderna vaccine will be the third coronavirus shot to be examined for use in Japan.
