TOKYO: The central Kantei region witnessed an earthquake at around 2:54 on Wednesday measuring a maximum seismic intensity of 3 in Yamanashi, Tokyo, and Kanagawa prefectures.
The Japan metrological agency said there is no need to worry about a tsunami coming from the pacific caused by this earthquake. The epicenter of this early morning quake was in Western Kanagawa with magnitude: 4.4 at the depth of approximately 20km.
In central Tokyo, it was hardly felt according to many eyewitnesses, but some people in eastern Tokyo, Yokosuka city and Yokohama felt “small shaking.”
