TOKYO: Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky expressed gratitude on Wednesday for Japan’s provision of defense supplies, including bullet-resistant vests, to Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
The whole world needs to cooperate to respond to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Korsunsky said in a meeting with Japanese Defense Minister KISHI Nobuo in Tokyo, asking for further support.
Kishi told Korsunsky that Japan strongly opposes unilateral attempts to change the status quo by force and consistently supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
