Family funeral to be held tomorrow for Abe: LDP

TOKYO: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) confirmed the arrangements for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s funeral, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday.

The LDP said, “this is a family funeral, and no press coverage will be allowed. We also decline any inquiries on this matter.”

Sources told Arab News Japan that Abe’s wake will be held from 18:00 today at Zojyoji Temple in Shiba district central Tokyo. 

All the roads around Zojyoji Temple are now closed, and huge  police presence is seen in the area. The ceremony starts at 6 pm according to the sources.
