SEOUL: South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol is considering holding talks with Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio on the sidelines of a UN General Assembly meeting in New York later this month, a senior South Korean presidential official said Monday.

The official indicated that the talks between Kishida and Yoon could just be a brief conversation. The two leaders have not held a formal bilateral summit yet.
