TOKYO: Waleed Siam, Ambassador of the Permanent General Mission of Palestine to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs TAKAGI Hiroshi on Thursday and thanked Japan for its assistance to Palestine.

Takagi welcomed Ambassador Siam’s visit and congratulated him on the 20th anniversary of the resumption of the Permanent Mission of Palestine to Japan.

Ambassador Siam expressed his high appreciation for Japan’s economic and political assistance to Palestine, and the two sides exchanged views on the regional situation, including people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Palestine, and peace in the Middle East.

Siam stated that he would continue to make efforts towards further developing Japan-Palestine relations.
