Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs YAMADA Kenji received a courtesy call on Friday from members of the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team that were deployed in response to the earthquake in Turkiye and neighboring Syria.
Yamada welcomed the leader of the Japan Disaster Relief Rescue Team Hideaki Yamamoto and other members of the JDR USAR Team and expressed his “deep respect” for their efforts in going to the a disaster-stricken site immediately after the earthquake occurred, and for their hard work while being in the extremely cold, harsh conditions amid fears of aftershocks.
