TOKYO: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to visit Japan from as early as Saturday, Japanese government sources said Friday.

Zelensky is reportedly slated to attend the summit of the Group of Seven major democracies in the western Japan city of Hiroshima, which started Friday for a three-day run.

The G7 members are Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States plus the European Union.
