RIYADH: A Saudi man was killed in Casablanca, Morocco, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Friday, citing a statement from the Saudi embassy in Rabat.
The citizen was killed by security guards of a hotel he was staying in.
The statement said: “The embassy would like to clarify that it has followed up on the details of the tragic incident since its occurrence with the concerned authorities in Morocco”.
It added that the case is under investigation at the Moroccan Public Prosecution following the arrest of the people involved.
The embassy said that it is coordinating with the authorities to return the body of the deceased to the Kingdom.
It extended condolences to the family of the deceased.
