RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday strongly condemned the “terrorist”  explosions near Somalia’s education ministry in the capital Mogadishu on Saturday, which killed at least 100 people.

The Saudi Ministry affirmed in a statement the Kingdom’s full support for Somalia in confronting “all terrorist acts that threaten its security and stability,” the Saudi Press Agency reported.

It also called on the international community to unite to eradicate “terrorism from its roots.”

At least 100 people have died when two car bombs exploded near the ministry headquarters.

More than 300 others were wounded in the attack, said Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in a video statement posted on his official Twitter account.

Mohamud claimed the al-Shabaab terror group in Somalia was responsible.
