DUBAI: Hobby Nation UAE, a community for manga and video game enthusiasts, hosted a free photoshoot for cosplayers on Saturday at Dubai’s Rove hotel.

“The event (titled ‘Cosplay Galleria’) gave an opportunity for creatives from two different worlds to come together in a comfortable and enlightening environment in cooperation with Rove hotels,” said Hobby Nation’s founder, Faisal Al Qassim.

“Besides fostering inclusivity, it also gave both photographers and cosplayers a platform to showcase their talents, build a portfolio, and enhance the spirit of community,” he added.

The event also featured other exciting activities, such as a trivia quiz. 

Al Qassim told Arab News Japan that the response to the event was overwhelmingly positive. “Participants praised the event’s organization and the community was delighted over the exposure. Many highlighted the vibrant atmosphere and the opportunity to engage with fellow photography enthusiasts.” 

Hobby Nation is hosting a cosplay brunch on July 6 at Dubai’s Rove hotel. Details will be revealed on their Instagram.
