DUBAI: The Japanese Embassy in Oman organized a reception on Sept. 1 in Sur, which celebrated the commencement of the “Ryoma Manga Seminar.”
The embassy collaborated with Oman’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth to host the event, according to the Times of Oman.
Omani Member of the Shura Council Yousef bin Salem bin Nasser Al-Mukhaini attended the reception, as well as the Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman YAMAMOTO Jota.

During a speech, the ambassador said that manga played a significant role in strengthening the friendship between Japan and Oman.
On Sept. 1, the manga seminar commenced at the Youth Center in Sur.
Japanese manga artists Yoshihiro Iwagami and Yuka Yamashita, invited from Kochi Prefecture, are providing lectures to participants on the art of manga.
