With most people taking extra measures and self-isolating due to the global outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), online games and applications are gaining more popularity among people with extra free time.

A Japanese developer named Sato, also known as AI Gahuku, created an AI app that turns users’ selfies or pictures into a Renaissance painting.

The AI generator features several filters, giving users different options on what they would like their piece of art to look like.

The app has caused a new social media trend, with people turning celebrity photos into artworks, as well as their own pictures and even their pets’.
