One of the oldest and most powerful European fashion houses in the luxury business Louis Vuitton prepares for the inaugural release of their new Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh’s first collaboration since earning his position in 2018, which will be with the Japanese fashion designer NIGO.

The collection “LV²” (Louis Vuitton squared) merges the aesthetics of both Abloh and NIGO’s streetwear sensibility within Louis Vuitton designs.

In the collaboration, the duo have honored the brands’s iconic codes through revisiting the entire product range, which varies from leather goods to ready-to-wear.

Drop 1 of the standalone collection is led by a plethora of denim, jackets, shirts and trousers that carry both, the Monogram and Damier check patterns.  The collection will be available in two color schemes, which are denim and grey. The denim styles designed in a way that highlights the patchwork elements through a distinctive use of cutouts, printing and embroidery.

The range’s LV² logo and associated branding has been applied to zipped jackets and sweatshirts for graphic-driven everyday wear options.

The logo is also subtly embroidered on the back of a shirt that pairs with fitted marled monogram grey trousers and blazers, offering a more formal look.

The backpacks, crossbody and weekend style bags remain structurally similar but have been redesigned to have a mixture of both, the Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern and Damier. For example, the duffel bags, backpacks and totes have a monogrammed  top half that is overlaid with Dameir paneling in the shape of dripping liquid.

Footwear includes tasseled loafers in two color ways, solid black and  brown leather monogram, steel-toe black oxford lace-ups, flat-soled chukka boots and a lace-up hiking boots.

Baseball caps embroidered with “Lous Vuitton Paris” in script and denim Damier check hats, Damier check leather belts, black acetate glasses with gold LV emblems on the temple, and a series of branding focused chains, round up the release’s accessories options.

The NIGO and Virgil Abloh LV² collection will be available at Louis Vuitton locations worldwide from June 26.
