Popular Japanese manga One Piece is close to issuing its 1,000 chapter, after 23 years of the adventures of main character Luffy and the Straw Hats.
The serialization, which was done by Shonen Jump magazine, has been ongoing weekly for the last two decades. The magazine plans to offer free chapters every week to celebrate the 1000th issue.

It is not yet clear whether the remarkable chapter will come out by the end of 2020, but fans will get to reread the popular series and older chapters every Wednesday.

Additionally, a live-action adaptation of One Piece is currently in the works by Netflix.
