DUBAI: The latest feature of Detective Conan franchise, ‘Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet’ premiered on May 26 in Dubai.
The premiere was packed with fans who were excited to see the latest exciting adventure of the famous little Detective on solving cases on the big screen.
A representative of Comicave said they were excited to “partner up with Spacetoon and Vox Cinemas In hosting the 24th film instalment of Detective Conan entitled the Scarlet Bullet.”
“It was great to see the fans and the gradual return of the film industry with the release of the series based on the manga series by Gosho Aoyama. Fans are thrilled in solving the case with Edogawa Conan on the first Reiwa-era Case Closed movie,” he added.
A representative of Otaku ME said about the movie premiere: “We just built a Conan kit last week, and to see the new film with all its mysteries, problem-solving scenarios, and action scenes just brings back all the memories from when we were as kids.”
“It makes us want to build more Detective Conan kits, so we wish they release more characters from the show,” he added.
A representative of The Little Things (TLT) said the movie’s fans “were definitely in for a treat at the premiere. TLT partnered with Spacetoon to add more excitement by giving away free premiere tickets to followers prior to the release.”
He also said the company had placed gift bags under selected cinema seats and every Detective Conan fan went home with a TLT wristband.
The story of the movie is set in Japan while preparing to commemorate the World Sports Games (WSG), the world’s biggest sports games, hosted in Tokyo. The Hyperlinear bullet train, the pinnacle of Japan’s advanced technology, will begin operation to coincide with the WSG’s opening ceremony. As the world watches, disaster suddenly strikes the host venue, where the sponsors of the Games are gathered. A crisis unfolds as several industry leaders are kidnapped in quick succession. That’s when Conan starts his investigations, while Shuichi Aki is helping him from behind the scenes.
Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet was scheduled to debut in Japan on April 17 last year, but was delayed from its original date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie opened on April 16 this year and made it to the top 3 highest opening weekends since the pandemic in Japan, and topped the China box office in its first 2 days moving ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ from the forefront.
‘Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet’ is available now in movie theatres across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Iraq in both Japanese and Arabic dubbed versions.
