Comic Stop, one of the most popular comics bookstores in Dubai hosted the “Free Comic Book Day” event on Saturday, August 14. The event was attended by fans who were excited to get their hands on the free issues of FCBD titles.

Exclusively speaking to Arab News Japan, Saeed Arjumand , The manager and founder of Comic Stop shared his feedback for the event:” The event was pretty good this year and it turned out to be very nice to see people coming to get comics and other amazing merchandises at our store”.

“This year was different because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we had to do social distancing and getting few people inside the store at the time to avoid crowded space”, he added.

This year’s edition of Free Comic Book Day featured over 50 titles including Japanese titles such as: Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Rent-A-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend and Space Pirate Captain Harlock. The event celebrated its 20th anniversary since it’s launch in 2002.
