DUBAI: German Fashion Designer Philipp Plein has cleverly incorporated a popular Japanese figure in his Christmas décor: Grendizer.

In an Instagram post published on Jan. 1, Plein wished his followers a happy new year and posted photos of his home, featuring not just one Grendizer statue, but three.

The fashion designer wrote: “Celebrating our first New Year’s Eve at home in LA.”

The post received 74.1k likes and over 400 comments, praising Plein’s obviously tasteful scheme.

Grendizer merch or life-sized statues of the Japanese anime character have been gaining popularity in recent years, with Saudi Arabia recently unveiling the World’s Largest Metal Statue of the Fictional Character.

The statue went on to be acknowledged by the Guinness World Records.
