TOKYO: The 42nd Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy International Symposium was held in Tokyo on Thursday with programs looking at sustainable energy.

Participants included industry leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Iran, as well as energy leaders from Japan.

Among those taking part were Mishaal Al-Thukair from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy and Sami T. Al-Murshed, Vice President, Training & Development, from the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco).

Topics included “Enabling a Sustainable Energy Society: Human Resources, Technology Development, and International Collaboration”; “Responsive management and agile HR development to tackle new and emerging needs”; and “Diverse technology-led solutions for reducing carbon intensity.”
