ADIHEX’s 20th edition takes place this week

ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) is coming back this week from September 2 to 8.

Taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, this year’s edition of ADIHEX features 1200 companies and brands from 65 countries, including Japan, participating in more than 200 activities and events. 

The theme this year is “Sustainability and Heritage: A Reborn Aspiration”, with the official sponsorship of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, the International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

The number of exhibitors has increased 25 times since the first edition, and the exhibition area has expanded 12 times. Moreover, the number of visitors has increased by about 4 times, exceeding more than 120,000 visitors from 125 nationalities in the last edition.

This year, the first knife auction will be held, as well as the first arts and crafts auction. The unique auctions represent a valuable opportunity to get acquainted with some of the most important pillars of Emirati and Arab heritage. 

Japanese exhibitor INPEX/JODCO booth will be at Hall 9 in ADNEC, and it will have various activities and performances such as: Chado (Tradition of Tea), Amezaiku (Candy Art), Ikebana (Flower Art), Judo, Shamisen (Three-Stringed Guitar), Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute), Wadaiko (Drums), and more.

Majed Ali Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of ADIHEX and Secretary General, expressed his appreciation for all the supporters and partners of the event, whose number has reached this year about 100 official organizations, institutions, companies, and media entities.
