Japanese retailer Ginza Tanaka released Pikachu-themed engagement rings in partnership with the Pokémon Company.
Ginza Tanaka, which specializes in metal accessories and jewelry, is giving fans the opportunity to take their love for Pokémon to the next level by opting to purchase a Pikachu-themed engagement ring in celebration of their union.
The value of these rings varies, with prices ranging from ¥115,500 to ¥346,500 JPY (approximately $1,072 – $3,216 USD), enabling Pokémon to make a breakthrough into the world of high-end jewelry.
The collaboration launched three 18K gold/diamond rings that vary in design, all of which are Pikachu inspired. The first style includes a single solitaire, set within a golden frame of Pikachu’s iconic ears. The second is made up of a round-cut stone placed between two lighting bolt tails on each end. The last is far subtler, with an image of Pikachu’s head imprinted on a classic gold band and a small diamond placed within the outline.
The rings are accessible online, and can be ordered and ready to claim within 8 weeks. The eccentricity and playfulness is taken a step further, as each ring is packaged and delivered in a Pokéball ring box — bringing our childhood fantasies to life.
