DUBAI: Saif Bin Futais the shooter of the UAE National Team inaugurated on Sunday the first participations of the games delegation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, with 83,911 athletes contesting in 33 sports divided by 339 competitions held in 48 sports venues. 

Bin Futais has continued preparations to participate in the Skeet Shooting, which will start today in Asaka Shooting in five rounds divided by two days with 125 total target rated by 25 target for each round. The shooting competition will be concluded by tomorrow, upon qualifying 6 shooters for the final phase as per of their accumulated results, accordingly, it will be announced the winners of the colored three medals. 

The Asaka Shooting Range is about 30km from the Japanese capital downtown. It is the same range in which Tokyo Olympic Sports Tournament was held in 1964. 

Azza Bin Sulaiman, the National Olympic Committee Assistant Secretary General for Administrative Affairs also paid a visit to Sports Olympic Village venue of the Tokyo Olympic Sports Tournament accompanied by Ahmad Al Tayeb, the National Olympic Committee Director of Technical and Sports Affairs. They have been acquainted with the preparations of the village; its multi premises, dining halls, sports yards as well as the rooms allocated for memorial photographing and other services to be provided by the village. 

Al Tayeb said that UAE athletes, from day one of arriving in the Olympic Village, have expressed their optimism to achieve the best positive results to be honored in the name of the UAE. 

It is important to underpin that the athletes were distinguished with bold spiritual status expressing highly noted trust of physical fitness and mind setting up.

Marwan Al- Hattawi, the coach of our National Team for swimming confirmed on the importance of participation of Yousef Al- Matrooshi, the swimmer in the competitions of the Olympic Sports Tournament in Tokyo. He said that it is being considered a distinguished beginning for the swimmer in his career path, where he has promising capabilities qualifying him to achieve further aspirations for the UAE sports, especially in the field of swimming sport. 

He added, the swimmer is competent in the swimming sport and enjoying high caliber talents and skills enabling him to be deemed as a promising national project, we should all support him to be soon amongst the elites worldwide. 

Furthermore, Al- Hattawi added that the swimmer was very committed to attend all the trainings on time.

He expressed his happiness praising the swimmer, who is still young but very serious and owning talents enhancing him to be continually developed and improved for further strides.
