DUBAI: The Consulate-General of Japan in Dubai and Japan’s External Trade Organization (JETRO) held a ceremony on April 5 to present certificates to Japanese food and ingredients supporter stores.

The certified restaurants included Sushi, Miyako, Kimuraya, Charteraise, YATSUDOKI and KOBEYa.

Consul-General Noboru SEKIGUCHI made a speech at the ceremony, saying: “We will continue to actively encourage people to people exchanges as well as cultural exchanges through Japanese food products and ingredients, and food culture of Japan.”

The UAE and Japan are celebrating their 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.
